Our teenage years course is specifically designed to give you both the tools and confidence to assist your child with the more demanding work they’re bringing home with a view to sitting the new GCSE qualification. Ultimately our courses provide a solid foundation from which you can progress to more advanced levels such as GCSE and A-Level.
Maths for mums ’n’ dads, the teenage years course, we take you through the basics of the secondary school maths syllabus and cover the topics and problems you and your teenager are likely to encounter. Annoyed by algebra? Need a jump start with geometry? Or simply terrified of trigonometry? Whatever your concerns, Axiom will alleviate your fears and just as important, provide the reason why these subjects are taught in the first place. You might even be pleasantly surprised!
With simple questions, practice papers and clear examples of working common errors throughout, maths for mums ’n’ dads, the teenage years will help you to help your child feel more confident about – and hopefully enjoy – the GCSE years. It’s also an ideal springboard for more advanced courses such as A-Level or perhaps a promotion opportunity at work.
Who is this course for?
For anyone aged 18 or over, particularly parents who wish to help their children with their maths homework from secondary school. Ideally you will have a GCSE or O-Level qualification and just need a refresher, then this course is for you. Alternatively, if you have taken our Maths for mums 'n' dads course, then this is a natural second step in your journey to becoming a number whizz! The course is unassessed and a certificate of attendance & achievement will be issued upon completion of it.

Class Sizes & Staff
