Thinking of becoming a teacher? Every teacher devotes his or her life to education for reasons as individual to them as any other part of their identity.
It usually isn’t the money or the three-month summer vacation. Reasons for becoming a teacher are deeper than that. And while each individual’s reasons are personal, almost all teachers are united by the desire to impact people.
From great job and career prospects to the power to inspire a whole generation, there are very few careers in the world that offer the personal pride, reward and satisfaction teaching can offer. A good teacher is sometimes the difference between a child falling through the cracks and a newly discovered interest that could become their lifelong passion and career.
Sitting in your classroom will be the entrepreneurs, innovators and craftsmen and women of tomorrow. By inspiring and supporting the next generation, teachers have a profound impact on society and there are very few professions that will provide a personal sense of achievement as much as teaching. So if you enjoy helping and bringing the best out of others, becoming a teacher could be for you.
Are you passionate about a subject such as English, Maths, science, sports or a language? Or do you want to change the direction of your career into something that aligns with your wish to make a difference? This kind of passion and knowledge is exactly what makes a lesson interesting. Passionate people and people with industry experience make for great speakers and teachers, as they inspire others to get on board or be curious about their subject of study.
Due to an ever-growing population, the need for teachers has never been greater. Despite all our recent technological advances and the threat these now pose to certain job markets, teaching is one of the careers that is still in demand and there is no sign this will change.
As a matter of fact, English schools are currently facing a severe shortage of teachers and recruiting trainees for the profession has now become a top priority for the government.
Our 5 day Teacher course is delivered by practising teachers with many years at the chalk face. Their wealth of experience, witt and humour, will further ignite your passion to become a future pedagog. You’ll learn what what the profession is really like, from the inside. The good, the bad and the down right ugly as it were! You’ll also find out exactly why teachers have seemingly longer holiday periods when compared to other professions!
Opportunities exist for suitable candidates to join Axiom and/or one of our partner schools, for some work experience!
