Beating Exam Stress

Taking exams is a stressful thing for both you and your teenager to deal with. They may feel under pressure to perform, be worrying about the future, and finding it hard to focus.

When children face exams that are often scheduled close together, many feel under incredible pressure which could lead to stress. They’ll need your understanding and support and you may be worrying for them and wondering what you can do to support them. This course will provide a detailed look at key stressors close to exam time, coping mechanisms and much more.

When dealing with exam stress it is important to remember that the words 'pressure' and 'stress' are used interchangeably, but are actually quite different. Pressure can be challenging, but positive and motivating overall, whilst stress feels negative and can get in the way of performing well. Each child responds differently to exam stress and pressure.

At Axiom, we’re extremely passionate about addressing issues related to health (including mental health) and safety as well and ensuring that your child fully understands the associated issues that lead to, and cause stress.
