Grammar Schools Entry Exams, sometimes referred to as the 11 Plus for state grammar schools, will, depending on the area you live in, consist of papers in any of up to four different disciplines: Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, English and Maths.

Which age group?
Typically, year 6 children who will be sitting the Grammar School Entrance/11+ Plus examinations with a view to starting Grammar School in Year 7. However, it is also suitable for children in year 9 doing exams for Grammar School Entry in year 10, sometimes called the 15+ Plus exam.
Course Overview
English
The format of the 11+ English paper varies considerably around the country. In some cases the school simply sets its own paper and changes the style of the paper from year to year in order to keep the material fresh and to prevent parents passing on “inside information” about the test. Other schools use a pre-set paper written by independent publishers.
The main challenges in 11+ English exam are the comprehension exercise and the essay. Our course focuses on developing your child’s reading, writing, vocabulary and essay writing skills, to place them in the best possible position to be successful in the exam.
